The Caleufu River
The Caleufu is a classic Patagonian River, born at the junction of the Filo Hua Hum and Meliquina Rivers (both flowing out of various beautiful and prolific Andean Lakes) and running through a variety of different landscapes from the forested Andes Mountains to the Patagonian high steppe into the Collon Cura River.
The Caleufu River is packed with healthy browns and rainbows and fishing can be with dries and nymphs, as well as streamers. On its uppermost reaches brook trout can be found.
Our new Caleufu River Camp experience will ensure privacy and comfort to a program that has become a classic and the Caleufu River float-trips, it will now be better than ever.
Daily commercial flights from Buenos Aires to Bariloche will get you here while San Martin de los Andes Airport offers daily flights on January and February only. Flight time from Buenos Aires is two (2) hours.
