Argentina Outfitters

BIG GAME / Lago Hermoso

"Hello from Florida-Made it home in good shape with lots of photos and stories thanks to you guys. Absolutely my best trip ever! Travel safely and stay in touch. Thanks again." AH - West Palm Beach, Florida

The Red Stag (or Red Deer) arrived to Argentina from Europe around 1900 by virtue of Pedro Luro’s desire to introduce the game animal into the vast stretches of the Southern Cone of South America. The population has since thrived and many hunters claim world class trophies on an annual basis in the Andes and Pampas regions.  Despite the high quality of hunting, Argentina remains largely unknown to many big game hunters around the world.

Argentina Outfitters can assure you an incomparable hunting experience for wild Red Stag in the Patagonian Andes Mountains. Our hunt provides challenging stalking in the rugged mountains of private ranches such as Lago Hermoso and Sihuen. Our success rate for the 2007 season was 90%. The base of our operations and hunting is on our private ranch Estancia Lago Hermoso, located 23 miles south of San Martin de los Andes in the province of Neuquen in the heart of Argentine Patagonia. The property covers 14,000 acres and lies completely within beautiful Lanin National Park. Our second property, Estancia Sihuen, is located 10 miles southwest of Junin de los Andes and covers 23,000 acres.  This property is classic high, Patagonian steppe and mesa country and creates challenging stalking conditions for the large population of wild stag that reside here.  Both ranches provide strictly fair-chase hunts and as a result all animals harvested, if sufficient size, will officially qualify for the record books.
